There is nothing better, than hiking alone in tundra. The views are worth the struggle. Snowshoes are life savers in Lapland. Couple days more and I have to go back to home.
I’m not looking forward those 900km to drive to harbour :)

Ei ole midagi paremat kui matkata üksi Lapimaa tundras räätsadega. Sellist vaikust ei ole mina “kuulnud” kusagil mujal. Üli mõnus tunne on kui vead ennast mõne mäe otsa ja näed enda ümber tühjust. Päikeseloojangu kuma õrnalt valgustamas mäetippe. Ideaalne viis päeva lõpetamiseks.
This is the #1 thing on my bucket list – to go walking on the tundra – but not when it is that color, I would go when it is more green. I assume at some time in the year it is more green….

I think june or july would be the time. Autumn in tundra is also very beautiful. It is probably the most popular time in tundra. And in autumn You have chance to see northern lights. I might come back in autumn.
